So I was all ready to sit down and write some really profound post for the day (Hey! Stop laughing) when I get a call from this temptress down the street.
“Hey”, she says all sweet and innocent. “Why don’t you guys come on down the block? We’ve got our other buds here just having some grub and vino.”
Hmm, I think I’ve already had grub, but I could use some vino and I really like those other friends too, but I’ve got so much laundry to do and I’ve been out all day. I know I’ll just stop by with the DH for a few minutes- ½ hour tops.
4 hours later after much vino, more grub, music and merriment we roll back into our house.
I guess the holiday season had begun!This one is for you friends.
Oh and TWILIGHT is done. Yeah, I have been bitten.

What’s Jack up to? Jack gave me such a much needed smile yesterday with the funny way he pushed his water bowl over to me when I wasn’t getting off my butt fast enough. The DH and I were chatting over the day’s mess. Yak, yak, yak and not paying Jack any attention as he ran back and forth between us. Out of the corner of my eye I watch as he maneuver the bowl from a tough corner over to my feet and then he looked up at me with the sweetest eyes like, “what ya got to complain about now lady?” Love that.
With all this talk of Change I’ve been thinking of making some changes to my blog. I’m not sure what they will be yet, I’m going to take them as they come to me. But the first change will be to spread the Jack updates out a bit. Keep his fans guessing and the paparazzi on their toes.Today Thanks to Ondo Lady for sending me to The Selby for gorgeous peeks inside interesting folks everyday lives. While there I came across Mike and Jen.

What’s Jack up to? Jack is hoping for the weather to warm up a bit for longer walks. Could winter really be coming up on us so fast. Brrrr!
Oh boy are my legs burning! So I checked it out and yep, the gym is still there, but I already knew that. Crap.
Only that cute Mel could get me into this mess. Her smooth words and silky charm took me over the edge and actually got me on the Dredmill twice in one week. I’m paying for it now though with Legs O’ Fire. I’m following the Couch potato to 5K plan which seems pretty reasonable for a runner hater like me. Let’s see if I can actually make it stick. If these legs don’t stop burning I don’t know.My mind is twisting in a million different directions right about now with the Dear Teen Twins, DH, the house, housework, my writing, dieting, exercise, finances (or lack thereof) and the election about 2 minutes away. UGH! I find it tough to focus on just one thing. Of course that’s the Gemini in me too.
Lists help though and breaking the day off into chunks otherwise it can easily turn into a big lump of nothing.
I find that music helps to get me moving when I really slow down. My music guru, the PIC, introduced me to Van Hunt a while back and he’s been fave ever since. Check him out.

I’m feeling quite uninspired by pop culture lately so I’m going back in time a bit to and old lurve, Mystery Science Theater. Funny, silly, very inspiring. Why? I don’t know. But it is.
That said, I thought I’d invite you all to dinner at at my house. Yeah, it’s just like this. Really, it is. The Dear Twins are so helpful. Riiiiight. Just replace the smallest boy with Jack. Use your imagination. Have fun! Oh and pretend these are Black people. Enjoy. Peace Out!

What’s Jack up to? That Jack has kept us on our toes this weekend. Why he still insists on running around the block like a nut when he sees fit is beyond me. I swear that dog has no home training. Whose dog is that?

So we finally had our first presidential debate. Too bad after all the build up and hype I was exhausted and ready to fall asleep by the time the thing finally started. (I blame the Prosecco and Megan’s post for that:) I will say was glad McCain showed up. Seems like all his practicing paid off. Guess all that talk about suspending his campaigning was just talk. But too me and most of the polls out there Barack did what he had to do by stopping him is his tracks when he was spouting his agenda instead of actually answering the questions at hand. And parties aside, let’s admit, Barack just seemed more presidential.
But, I’d have like them both to have stayed little more on point. Too bad I couldn’t have been in charge. I’d have been all, “hey you didn’t specifically answer my question!” There would have been none of that, “speak to him stuff.”
But I’m sure Thursday will be a whole different ball of wax. Bring on Thursday. Biden/Palin all the way. I can’t wait to see SNL reacreate that thing.
To that… Oops she did it again. That Tina Fey is so it.

What’s Jack up to? It’s raining buckets today and a small stream is running down our street so poor Jack is looking longingly out the window. Sorry, Jack no long walks today.
Just too much premiered on tv this week. Thank goodness for old things programed into the dvr. Lipstick Jungle was taped. Whew. I think Nico’s hubby got off too easy (spoiler alert!!!) by dying. At least they know how to dress for it. Those ladies are so chic.
Also Survivor premiered last night. Can someone tell me why these people show up dressed so inappropriately for the jungle. Suits? Dresses? What up with that? I mean if it was me, I’d look like a page from an old Banana Republic catalog. BTW, I already love that sad little Ken, the video gamer who is looking for love on Survivor and she’s already voted off. Poor thing.
I think after the week we’ve all had we could do with a Friday funny. I laughed my butt off at this last night and again this morning. I just love Jon Stewart.Honestly I feel completely screwed over by this whole mess. I’ll be watching the debates or the Barack show tonight depending on if John shows up or not. What about you?
