- What’s Jack up to? Jack is gearing up for a long holiday weekend filled with family and the dear twins. No more lounging about it’s about to be wild up in here.
Me, I’m hoping to get my NaNo writing done in the midst of all the holiday running around. Don’t ask me how. It’s a mystery. Yikes.
The DD had been dying to show me this nutty YouTube video. Yes, these are the things that occupy the teen’s minds nowadays. I have to say I saw it and thought how silly, but still funny and I also thought of one person. So this goes out to you, Kristen. It made me think of your post here.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow. Hug all those you love and be thankful for them.
I’m so thankful to all of you for stopping by and hanging with me. Smooches.Best,
KwanaP.S. What did you all think of the results of Dancing with the Stars? Did you watch? I was not surprised but also not happy.
Happy Friday! And I do hope it’s happy.
I’m going for a new outlook today. Enough of the writerly doom and gloom. Obviously wheels are going to keep turning no matter what I say here and we’ll just have to see how it all plays out. In the meantime I’m ever hopeful.
My NaNowrimo writing has suffered terribly this week. It’s been a tough week life-wise. just plain nutty and the writing time has just flown by. Now I’m in panic mode. Oh well. I shall do my best to be where I will be. Wish me luck.
On a Friday up note I have a Snuggie!! Well, a Snuggie-esque from The Christmas Tree shops. Yesterday Nana and I did our annual Thanksgiving shopping and ran across some very cool Snuggie-esque garments that were called The Hug Throws for a great price in all sorts of colors and Nana could not resist buying them for the whole family. I have a cool lime green one! Love my Nana.
The only family member that didn’t get one was Jack. I specifically warned Nana not to order Jack this. You know she wants to. Sorry he’ll just have to cuddle next to me with mine. It’s bad enough I’m looking a hot Snuggie-esuqe mess don’t need to subject Jack to it too.
The story is someone noticed him outside their office window and filmed him over a 15-month period. Way to wait for the bus. Enjoy.
- What’s Jack up to? The Jack dog and been trying my last nerve being extra pushy lately with the food treat thing. Trying to eat earlier and earlier and get in and extra meal or snack or three by wearing me down. It’s time to get tough up in here-up in here.So I got my new Harper’s Bazaar in the mail yesterday and I’m loving Tina Fey on the cover. Don’t you think she looks great? And here I was just tweeting with friends “bring models back to the magazine covers” which I still totally believe, but this cover really makes me happy.Love that dress and the twinkle in her eyes.Check some of the inside fashion. Yum.And just for fun:Best,Kwana
Did you know I’m a total Martha fan? Really, I am. I don’t watch her show every day and when I have the TV on at that time I have to get my hot mess of The View’s hot topics on but I can totally get into Martha’s world. I also keep tuning into her station on Sirus radio which has great tips on food and decor all day.
Well, yesterday I had a great laugh out loud Martha moment while listening to Martha’s call in show. A woman called in to ask about a sweet potato recipe that she had at The Outback and Martha asked, “is that in Australia?” Haaaa! The woman with her sweet southern accent was like, “Um, no.”
Martha’s staff was cracking up in the background too.
Martha said she would try and get the recipe from corporate for the woman and present in on the show. Klassy.
Gotta love her. She’s may have been to the big house but she’s never been to The Outback Steakhouse. Oh Martha!
BTW have you see Whatever Martha with Alexis and Jennifer on Fine Living? I don’t have the channel but their radio show is so funny.
Today is 9/11 a hard day for so many especially in here in New York. I have no words. Just remember and hopes for peace.
What’s Jack up to? We’re still working on getting his special diet together and he’s still not all that happy. Just saying. In honor of diets I ran across this Snickers ad late on Saturday night on the upper east side. Fun! I wonder if those pay phones really work. Hmm…
Thanks to Pearl Cleage for the title of my post today. If you’ve never read her book What Looks Like Crazy On An Ordinary Day, it’s been many years since I’ve read it, but I highly recommend it.
Happy Friday. I hope you made it through the week without too many scars and lots of smiles. I’m sure there was some crazy thrown in. All you had to do was turn on the tv or maybe walk out your door and not be too careful but in that I may be bordering on the cynical. So to put a funny spin on it I’ll leave it to Jon Stewart.
The Daily Show With Jon Stewart Mon – Thurs 11p / 10c The Born Identity Daily Show
Political Humor Joke of the Day
Have a happy!
- What’s Jack up to? It’s been a semi quiet week for Jack. Not too much trouble (I had better not speak too fast) just up to his usual antics. I think the Dear Twins are driving him nutty (but he’s not alone in that). And he’s barking a lot more than usual (not alone in that either) But besides that all is cool with Dear Jack. This pic is for Ina in Alaska who is always capturing the best licence plates. I snapped it when the truck of our local doggie day care was in front of me for a few blocks and I noticed the licence plate. Don’t worry we were stopped at the time I snapped the pic.Have a Happy Friday and a great weekend!Best,Kwana
- I really got a kick out of this cab. Hope you’re having a nice weekend.Best,Kwana
I was reminded yesterday of another old favorite by my friend Patricia of PVE designs. The late great Gilda Radner and her character Rosannne Rosanadana. How could I forget her on SNL? My mother used to actually make me imitate her skits over and over as a kid. No, I won’t do it for you now. But please watch this and smile.
I hope you’re enjoying your weekend.
