    It’s A Monday

What’s Jack up to? Here is Jack looking out the window as the rest of the family heads off for the Monday grind. DH to work and DD and DS to school.

And here he is looking at me like so now what?

I’ll tell you what Jack it’s me with some final way over due critiquing and then write, write, write-ing!!

The party is surely over love. It’s a Monday.

    What’s on your plate today?

    Best,

Oh and sorry for the blurry shots. Like I said. It’s a Monday. Blah.

    To Be Judged

What’s Jack up to? Jack has been extra odd lately. Feeling very loungey and wanting to hang in the basement a lot these last few days. I think he may be extra tired after a busy weekend on the block with our annual block party. I’m happy to report that The Jackster was a perfect little gentleman and loved by all though. But with his charm of course he was.

In other news… in a strange turn of events since I’m totally neurotic and can’t stand being judged (strange how I love reality TV and judging others though, hmm) I have entered a contest.  Yikes!

Not that type of contest. I’ll spare you all. It’s The Mills & Boon New Voices contest. I know crazy right? All I can do is blame my phone breaking, Twitter and a momentarily lapse of reason. But there it is. So if you’d like to give my entry a read please hop over here and do so. If you like it, rate it. If not, well you know what mama always said about if you don’t have something nice to say.

    Thanks so much friends!

    Super Duper Cute

What’s Jack up to? Well now that school is back in session it’s back to me and Jack for the better part of the day. So we are bonding once again. Here is is trying to get me off Twitter and back on track with my writing. My own writing coach. Ok ,Jack, I get your point and I’m getting right back to work.

With school back in so is my afternoon drive time with the DD doing the dance thing. And that means the fight over the car radio is back on. Every once in a while we can agree on a cute little diddy. Enjoy.

    Go On Baby

What’s Jack up to? I never found out what Jack got into or what he was trying to say with that look that he gave me the other day but he was a lot happier over the weekend since Nana came back up for a visit.

I’m thinking Jack would love it if Nana just moved in.  I’m sure the Dear Twins would too since Nana spoils everyone on her path. It seems the word ‘no’ is no longer in her vocabulary. Man, it’s a whole lot different from when I was a kid and getting into all sorts of mess or at least trying too– you see in my day nothing got by Nana.  But, I guess that’s the fun of her now being a great-grandmother. Getting to say ‘sure’ and ‘yes, go ahead baby’ then sitting back and watching the fun unfold.

    Happy Monday!

    Hmm…

What’s Jack up to? Jack has been a little odd lately. Going hot and cold and then giving me these strange looks like he either a. wants to tell me something or b. is hiding something and doesn’t want me to find out what he did. It’s not just me who thinks he’s acting a bit weird the twins agree he’s not quite the usual Jackster. We’ll see how the weekend goes. To be continued…

Hope your weekend us not full of odd behavior.

    Summer Breeze

What’s Jack up to? Jack has been a happy dog these past few days with nothing but nice weather, treats and his favorite lady up from Harlem to pay him visit.

Yep, Nana has been hanging with Jack while the DH and I take the twins on some college tours and Jack could not be happier with long lazy days and nights on the porch and all the cuddles he wants.

Right now he’s enjoying a cool breeze, the nice view and probably wishing that summer could last forever.

Hope you all have a glorious weekend.

    Oh Deer

What’s Jack up to? Jack has been pretty quiet this weekend. Hanging in the hall closet when it got too warm and chilling in the shade when he wanted to catch a breeze.  The closet thing is funny because it’s such an eyesore and I sometimes forget he’s in there and close the door on him. He really had better learn to pipe up when I go to close it because I’m afraid that one day I’m going to go out and close him in there for a long while.

We have been overrun with deer in our town this summer which is so early in the year to see them. This guy was hanging out across the street at about 4 in the afternoon going for my neighbor’s tomatoes on Friday. I waited until he left to go to my car.

And on Saturday when the DH was cleaning the cooler on our back porch a family of deer went running past him.

This is all a little toovery Wild Kingdom for this city girl. Yikes!

    Have a great week.

  • jack,  wordless wednesday

Why are you making that noise?

What’s Jack up to? Jack’s up to his usual. Getting into mischief when he can but mostly chilling…a lot. He leads a good life of walking around ruling the house. So I was playing with my phone, trying to get some pics of jack and he was totally ignoring me doing the camera shy thing when I took to doing this low toned long screech to get his attention. This is the look he came over and gave me. I love it. Not quite a wordless Wednesday but from Jack his no words say a lot.

    Vamp It Up

What’s Jack up to? As I write this, Jack is pacing back and forth and every once in a while stopping to give me “the look” as if to say, “uh when are you going to feed me lady?”  Uh oh now he’s just stopped and is starring. Going for the hard intimidation. Oh Jack I know your tricks. Patience please.

I hope you had a good weekend. Mine was nice. I had fun with my new phone until it started to act all wonky and turned on a off a bunch of times and now I can’t find a load of pictures which seems to have disappeared. So now I’ve turned sad and have to visit Verizon and there is nothing I hate more. It really feels like I have bad phone Karma lately. And those were great picture of the DH and I was just going to download them when I noticed they were not there. I hope there is a way to recover them.

In a small silver lining my most recent pictures from the weekend did not disappear. This weekend I had a real treat. The world of blogging is so odd. You have these strange relationships based on comments of snippets of a life a person felt free enough to share. I mean who knows how truthful or authentic the person on the other end of the computer is being? Are they who they portray themselves to be? It could all be smoke and mirrors and you could finally meet a person that you have a little blog crush on and it could be like meeting a star that you’ve seen in the movies and you’re like, “crap, they were much taller on screen.”

Well folks, I’m happy to say I got to meet one, well two, of my blog crushes this weekend when my buddy Patricia (PVE) had Valorie, The Visual Vamp and her sweet love Alberto from New Orleans over for lunch.

I couldn’t wait to grab the DH and run up the hill to see them (not run, drove really, no running for this girl). First off the DH did think I was a little cra-zy. You’re meeting another blogger from where? Well not five minutes into our meeting he was just as taken as I was by Valorie and Alberto. They are two of the loveliest, sweet, funny and genuine people you’d ever want to meet.

And they tangoed for us!!! So beautiful. It’s now on my list.

Sunday afternoon was a great day. Thanks for a great lunch, Patricia. And it was a good feeling for me to come out from behind the computer myself and to meet someone who instantly felt like a friend and who was just what she presented herself to be…really real and a good vamp.
