Just Fine!
What’s Jack Up to? Right now Jack is whining at the basement door. Should I take that as a hint he’s is no longer interested in watching the Yankee game with the DS and wants to hang with me? Can I get a moments rest? No. Oh well. That’s life. BTW I’m way sad over the ending of Yankee stadium. Part of my childhood is now gone. Big tear.
At the end of last week with all the market turmoil, constant political crap and the Dear Teens sometimes making me want to pull my hair out I was feeling deep in a cynical rut. Which is honestly is not a far from my norm. Not to mention I didn’t totally agree with who got out Aufed on Project Runway and Top Model last week. UGH!
But after church on Sunday I walked out feeling just fine. Shoot, God didn’t promise a life without trials, right.So during my many errands I rolled down the windows popped MJB (Mary J Blige) in the cd player and hit the gas. Hard.
Do me a favor, try and not stress too much this week. It’s all going to be just fine. Do what you gotta do and Crank it up!

What’s Jack up to? Shhh. Stinky Jack is getting a B-A-T-H. T-O-D-A-Y. Let’s keep it quiet while I lure him to the tub.
I have to say I had a huge problem with so many parts of the Sarah Palin/ Charles (Charrr-lee) Gibson interview, but what got me the most was the not blinking thing. The fact that she didn’t blink in her decision to take the VP job irked me. Shoot, I take a half an hour deciding to buy boots on sale at the outlets and she didn’t pause to think about this job? Did this cause anyone else to pause?Well, leave it to The Daily Show to make me smile about it. Here we go…
Please everyone, blink a bit and VOTE wisely in November. You know which way I’m going. Obama baby!

What’s Jack up to? Here is Jack’s spot de jour now that school is back in session. He just goes right to his spot on the couch and can’t be moved until he wants to move. So what’s Jack up to? Just chillin.
Well now that the RNC Convention/Introducing Sara Palin Show is over maybe we can finally get real and I can get some rest. Did anyone watch and see some of the wild protesters that made it onto the floor? Eek. Now let’s actually get down to what’s really important and past the silly sound bytes and onto some real questions and issues. That is if some don’t run scared and will actually sit and get interviewed by the press.But no fear thanks to Mel-O-Drama and the fact that she’s more of a Maverick than anyone I know my hat has been officially throw into the ring for President. What’s Jack up to? Just being wild Jack. Totally territorial over his closet and snapping and anyone who dare try to get him out without a treat in hand. Just Jack!
The DH is off on business and thanks to the lovely PIC I got to watch the most wonderful version of Jane Austen’s PERSUASION staring Amanda Root as Anne Elliot and Ciaran Hinds as the dashing Captain Wentworth. It was a lovely way to spend an evening. Thanks PIC!
And as for the bottom clip spoiler alert if you have not seen PERSUASION but it perfectly shows the downtrodden but ultimately triumphant Austen heroine. Enjoy. “Anne? Whatever for?” Amazing.
I then had to go and check out the 2007 BBC version with Sally Hawkins and Rupert Penry-Jones. I don’t know how I missed this during Austen week. Oh well. I’m torn they are both beautiful. How can you go wrong with Austen? All this romance can truly mess a girl up. And don’t we all want just one night more? I know I do. Well, maybe not. It’s probably perfect as it is in our own minds.

Political Sidebar #2: Speaking of Persuasion, Hilliary Clinton hit it out of the park with her speech at the DNC last night. A very persuasive speech it was. I wonder if it will do the trick with bringing over the Hilliary supporters that are holding out. It should if Michelle’s last night didn’t. Hillary made her thoughts very clear when she said. “No way, no how, no McCain.” Ouch, Hill. tell us how you really feel.Best,

What’s Jack up to? Oh just being so Jack. He totally stole half a slice of pizza right from under my nose when I turned to grab a paper towel. I couldn’t even get too mad. I didn’t need that pizza anyway. Darn Jack.

Promotion 101
What’s Jack up to? He’s happy today. Well he’s, Jack so he’s happy most days, but he’s particularly happy today. Trotting behind Nana’s every step to see what she slips him. So far I’ve caught: salmon croquettes, hash browns and a crunchy cheese doodle. He’ll be just awful once this weekend is over. I won’t be able to do a thing with him. But he’s having fun.
