- Double Impact?- Really Liquid Plumber have you gone just a smidge too far or am I (yes, me, I know hursh) getting all Regency prudish and you’ve just hit on super brilliant marketing? I saw this last night and thought, wow they took the Velveeta 3rd hand (so funny, I love it) smiting to the next level for sure. What say you bloggy friends? - Best, - Kwana
- Grind it out- Happy Tuesday. So it’s back to the grind for many of us after the long holiday weekend. And sadly I think I over extended myself and hit my burger with grilled onion limit a mite early (Must work on my pacing). - I’ve got a busy week ahead with the kids and hopefully lots of writing work getting done but I’m a little stalled as I have not gotten used to this new/old busy house yet. Not. At. All. - Another thing I’ve not gotten used to is the heat jumping up 15-20 degrees overnight. I’m fighting to not put my air on, but when the temperatures reach near 90 it’s pretty hard. I’ve got fans in every room because the DH will have a fit if I flip that switch this early in the season and send that electric bill soaring. Here’s hoping for a cool breeze today. - That said I’ve got my coffee in hand (also some ready to ice) and I’m ready to roll. How about you? - Best, - Kwana - Image from here
- And we say…
- Time Out For Repair- Taking a bit of a break while my computer is being sent out for repairs. Let’s hope it comes back from ye old shop feeling bright, shiny and practically like new. - Wishing you all a fantastic Holiday weekend! - Best, - Kwana - Image from here
- Contained- I’m doing a little work on keeping my life contained and so far not doing a very bang op job of it. The only progress I’ve made so far is over the weekend with my new container porch plantings of basil and some hot and sweet peppers. Also some geraniums for a bit of pretty. I’ve decided to forgo the planting in the back since over the past few years it’s been steady disappointment of weeds and some critters coming along at the last minute stealing my bounty. Besides you know what they say about doing what you’ve always done… - Also Jack seems to like it out front. Here’s hoping for better results this year. Are you doing any spring planting? - Best, - Kwana
- Peeking- Hi there. I’m peeking out from my little cave to say hi. I’m trying to get into some sort of new life schedule with kids back home and a busy writing life. Things are a changing rapidly around here and it’s never a dull moment, but through it all I have to remember to stop and breathe and just let the world happen. - Jack is still hopping around and so over his collar, but he needs it as I have to clean his wounds 2x a day so though he hates it, it’s very necessary. I hope I’m doing the cleaning correctly and all will be well when we return to the vet next week for his stitches to be removed. - I’ll probably be a little more sporadic on ye old blog for the next few weeks just peeking in here and there. I will surely give you updates on anything exciting with me or the Jackster or the super cool book coming out in September! - In the meantime if you have not please go and if you like, “like” my official author page on Facebook. Thanks. - Best, - Kwana - Image from here
- In the Pink!- Wishing you a week full of unexpected beauty. I spotted these on my walk with Jack while taking a different route. He’s still on the mend and will have his stitches removed in about a week. Thanks again for all the good wishes. - Best, - Kwana
- Have a Happy…- Have a Happy Mother’s Day weekend all you moms. I’m thinking you should at least get a weekend out of the deal, forget about just one day. You all deserve so much more for all you do. - And a Very special Happy Mother’s Day to my own mother, Kay and my Nana. I can’t say how much I love you both and how grateful I am to have your love in return. The older I get the more I know that. - We are Mom enough! - Love, - Me - P.S. Thanks for all the well wishes for Jack. He is on the mend and taking his pain meds like a champ. I will keep you all updated. - Image from here
- Book-O-Mat- So I had this dream last night, well quite a few, and I remember bits and pieces of each, which I do often ,but in one that I’ll share with you I was trying to buy my book out of a machine vending machine of all things. You know, like those new machines where you can buy an iPod and the accessories if you have 200 bucks to spend in a machine and a music emergency. But the thing was my book was in an old style beat up machine like you’d see at on the outskirts of a bad Carney show. And the book was in a brown cardboard box with brown tape so I don’t know how I knew it was my book (also it was a secret baby book which I have never written). Besides my book, also in and this machine was various stuffed toys, card and old time candies to complete the rundown look of it all. Now don’t ask me what it all means, I’m not going to analyze (yes I am), though I will consider the push of bringing the Book- O- Mat back. - Best, - Kwana - Image from here
- Feeling Gothic- With the second night of rolling thunder last night and me waking clutching my sheets (ok, so the clutching is a bit of an exaggeration) I’m now in a bit of a Gothic mood. And looking at this YouTube video I’m ready to start a collection. Do you have any favorite Gothic novels? - Best, - Kwana
