As nicely as I can say.. get with it!
This is a complaint note I felt I had to write this morning, or not move on:
Dear Pretty Of The Moment Online Fashion House:
An avid blog reader and blogger myself, I found your site through a blog recommendation and was very excited to give it a look. Being a big fan of classic styles and the striped boatneck in particular, I wanted to order yours. Sadly, I was extremely upset to see that your size large is a size 8. I really don’t understand that size structure. Coming from a fashion background my feeling is size M should be 8-10 and L 12-14. I think your size Large being a size -8 and having it be your final size is very limited sizing and excludes a lot of women. This makes me wonder if that is your point intentional or not. It saddens me as a woman and as a mother of a teen girl in this day and age when girls are dealing so much and having to overcome assaults on their body images in the media every day. I think you have a beautiful site, full of great product and wonderful design but I would encourage you to rethink your sizing structure to be more inclusive. And to get a new customer. Thank you.

P.S. I won’t say the name of house here but I did send them the note. I encourage you to do the same with other places if you encounter this problem. Why go through life feeling that you are the problem? It’s NOT you. It’s THEM!!!!
First Fall
Overnight we had our first snowfall of the season that brought out the plows and gave a covering on the holly tree outside my window. I’m thankful that it wasn’t enough to give a snow day and the twins are off to school today. Though I’m sure they would not say the same.
Have a good one and stay warm where you are.
Best,
Kwana
All Tucked In
Hello Monday! What’s Jack up to? Why he’s feeling just like me and I’m sure a lot of you. He doesn’t really want to get up and get going on this dark and chilly Monday morning.
Can we discuss how odd Mr. Jack is? I’ve never seen a dog like him. Here he is the other night. I thought he looked a little odd on his bed so I came up to take a closer look and I noticed that he was wrapped in his blanket all tucked in the same way my DD put him before she went to bed. Oh that Jack.
Have a good Monday.
Best,
Kwana
Rocka My Soul
On this Sunday I’ll finish up with the final section of Revelations which has an enduring message of hope that has lasted these 50 years and I’m sure will continue for at least 50 more. I don’t know about you, but for me, it comes right on time right about now.
Happy Sunday!
Best,
Kwana
Wade In The Water
The Ailey Performance last night was as inspiring as I knewit would be. Here is part 2 of Revelations: Wade In the Water.

Knitting on the Run
Tis the season. Today is my knitting group day, but sadly I have to knit on the run as there is so much to do today and I don’t have time to sit with my dear girlfriends as leisurely as I would like. I’ve been so busy with the twins and writing and the holidays and Jack stealing bread that I seem to only pick up my knitting needles the one time a week that I do meet with my knit buddies. My only other relaxation time is in the tub and I have not figured out how to knit in there. Yet.
I hope you find a little time to sit still today.
Best,
Kwana

My Favorites/ Your Favorites
What’s Jack up to? It’s been a minute since I said what Jack was up to because he’s been fairly quiet. Maybe too quiet. I came home yesterday to find he jumped up to the counter and nabbed a new loaf of bread, ate half, then sort of hid the evidence. Now normally when Jack does something wrong he hides so I know to look for the problem. Not this time. He was bold coming out to greet me like there was not a problem in the world that is until I found the bread stuffed under the counter an hour later. Yeah, then he hid. Grrrr…
Today I’d love for you to join me at The Loft to help me to build a best book of 2010 list in Women’s fiction and contemporary romance. I sure can’t do it alone so please head on over there and tell me what you’ve loved this year.

Keep It Simple
Right now I can’t get this song out of my head. I guess I’m longing for either a simpler life or to dye my hair. I’m not sure…

Dance for Joy
Hello peeps. I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. Mine was fun and filling probably too filling.
Writing update: It’s now the end of November and I know I won’t be making my NanoWrimo goal. Yes, it’s sad to say but this month got away from me with the new freelance gig at The Loft and with the Dear Twins college application process.
But in better news there was light at the end of the college app tunnel and we all got through it. The Applications are done and submitted! Whew. I think we all are a bit beat up and exhausted from the process (Ok I’m beat up and exhausted) but so happy to be done. Now is the waiting game. Isn’t that always a general state of life? But I’m feeling hopeful that there are good things in store. So for now I’m going to do a little happy dance like the beautiful Ms. Josephine here and give thanks that this part of the process is over.
Now back to my room and my regularly scheduled writing program.
Best,
Kwana
