Raiders of the Lost Arts
Like my play on words there? Ok so it may not be the best but I thought it was cute. Know what I like even more. My finished needlepoint. It’s all done and hung and looking pretty in my bedroom. I’m giving myself a little pat in the back for this one. And so happy that the DS gave me a pat too saying mom it looks so cool and vintage. You could teach a class at my school. Maybe get a cut in my tuition. Hmm something to think about. Of course I’d have to move and get an apartment…. Hmmm…. something else to think about. LOL!
A big thank you to my friend Laura for her wonderful needlepoint lesson. I’m afraid I’m hooked.
Now back to my knitting I have a holiday hat to finish for the son which at this point may turn into a New Year’s hat.
Tell me are you a Raider of The Lost Arts?

Knitting Spirit
I love these knitted ornaments found here. They really show the spirit of the holidays. Wish I had found them earlier. Oh well maybe a project for next year. I think they would make great gifts for someone very special.

Knitting up some trouble
So me and my knitting group are meeting at my place today. Hope we don’t scare up too much trouble.
Tell me do you have a group that you like to meet with regularly to get into some mischief?
Happy Friday!

Knit Wednesday
Happy Wednesday. Looking to knit myself right over that Wednesday hump. Or maybe it will be needlepoint today. Either way I’m getting crafty.
Would love these cool needles though. Aren’t they fun?

Knit Wednesday
I kinda wish with all the Royal Wedding hoopla my little group was knitting here just for this week. I know all the coverage is over the top and I’m getting pretty over it. But I will admit that come Friday I will be watching along with the rest of the world to seewhat Kate is wearing and I’ll probably get a little choked up when the couple take their vows. And I too will wish them well and a happy ending.
For more on the wedding check out my post up today over at Heroes and Heartbreakers.

Tick and Tock
The clock is ticking but look I am knitting, taking a moment to call a halt on all my running and spinning for a little laughing and chatting. A week of family, food, friends and I’m sure more food is ahead I hear a little snow. Maybe I should knit something for that. Um, not.
Oh and hey, if you have some time stop here tomorrow for a small celebration.
Best,
Kwana.
Knitting on the Run
Tis the season. Today is my knitting group day, but sadly I have to knit on the run as there is so much to do today and I don’t have time to sit with my dear girlfriends as leisurely as I would like. I’ve been so busy with the twins and writing and the holidays and Jack stealing bread that I seem to only pick up my knitting needles the one time a week that I do meet with my knit buddies. My only other relaxation time is in the tub and I have not figured out how to knit in there. Yet.
I hope you find a little time to sit still today.

Kwana
