Who/What Can it Be Now?
With dog attacks, kids with ugh, family in health peril, me in car crashes and now lightening striking a tree right between me and my neighbors house, I find myself getting a wee bit paranoid and asking, “what can it be now?”.
To this instead of going totally cray, I’ll leave you with Men At Work and just get back to work.
Enjoy.

Game On!
I’m loving this TED talk from gamer Jane McGonigal which, as with most things, comes at a perfect time (just when I need to hear it). After you watch if you care to share please tell me what would you do with your extra 7 1/2 minutes?

It’s Friday. The 13th!
Oh wow. This is sure tapping me on my way too tense shoulders today. Hmm…
Have a happy.

Christmas in July
So it’s hot as all get out but I’m suddenly in a Christmas mood and ready to get my knit on and get started with a little holiday knitting. Don’t want to be caught behind the old 8 ball this year. I also don’t feel like starting on any involved complicated sweater pattern that I’ll just give up on half way. So I think it’s fun hats and scarves for me. Won’t the family be so happy? Not? Maybe? I hope so.
Oh well. How about you? Are you doing any holiday DIY projects?
Also anyone know of any good quick knit books? I’d love some suggestions.
Best,
Kwana
Jack Monday
Happy Monday folks. I hope you all had safe, fun and relatively cool weekend wherever you where. It was pretty hot here but not as hot as all the safety alerts led us to believe or maybe I’m just getting used to the blazing heat. Either way we all hung in there.
Looking over my posts I realize it’s been a while since I’ve said what’s Jack been up to so here goes:
What’s Jack been up to? Well, The Jackster is so much better. Just about back to normal after being attacked a little over a month ago. The cone of shame is gone, his back wounds are pretty much healed and he has gotten a spiffy new haircut and bandana!
Of course now that he’s back to his old good looking self he’s thinking he’s all that and a bag of chips. Giving just everyone the business that dares walk by our porch by barking his head off, even go so far as to try and give me some attitude but you know I’m not having that. Oh to the no. But for all his bravado he’s still a big old softie. Hanging out most times in the front closet or on my side of the bed where he feels the safest.
Hope you all have a great week and stay cool.

Friday Fantasy Flashback
Happy Friday! Today I’m going back to some of the things I used to love: Rye Playland, roller coasters, hip-hop, big hair, bangs, roller skates and a Tom Tom Club cameo hook! Thanks Mariah, though I could have done without the scary clown in this video. I can never get behind scary clowns, way too Stephen King’s IT.
Tell me what’s your favorite part of this flashback video?
Hope you have a great weekend.
Best,
Kwana
Flying High
Happy 4th of July! I’m Flying high and feeling on top of the world. Though as you read this I may be passed out somewhere in a deep sleep, exhaustion finally having caught up with me. But no matter, you see because yesterday I handed in my edits for my book Through The Lens (due out in Sept from Crimson Romance) and I could not be happier. Yes, it was super stressful and hair pulling at times and yes, I may have been living on a steady diet of coffee, diet coke and eye drops but the fact is I made it through. THROUGH! And now I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy!
So what? 2 days off then onto the next book? Sounds about right J

Not to be rude but…
Happy… what?!
Wait! What do you mean it’s not Wednesday? Friday!! Oh crap. I’ve gotta get back to these edits before I lose my head.
Laters People. Have a good weekend. Wish me luck!
Thing, more coffee please, NOW!

And I’m diligently working on making my book boy/man the best he can be. Back to the grind.
