Where, oh where, did the summer go?

jack judge 2Listen, don’t look to me because I have no answers over here. I’ve pretty much spent most of my summer in my little cave pecking away at my laptop in prep for next year’s books. It’s ok though, all my vacations have been in my head and I’m sure a physical one will come soon (sure? Hope?).

Meanwhile, The Jackster has been by my side as I put the finishing touches on my upcoming Unconventionl Brides Series, only giving me grief when he wants a treat or when he finds me totally slacking. You all know that nobody does judgy like Jack.

Well now that you made it to my new place on the web grab and a cup of what ever strikes your fancy, a seat and stay a spell. Check out some of my other blog posts, my book page and please don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter (sidebar: you get to find out about my new contests that way) to stay up-to-date on my upcoming projects (there are many!). The most immediate being HOLIDAY TEMPTATION which will be out in now less than a month with me, Donna Hill and Farrah Rochon (I’m so the under card in that fight and proud to be it). HolidayTemptation150

So that’s that. Happy early-fall peeps! If you know me you know I’m already on the hunt for the perfect black turtleneck and scheduling my Fall TV viewing and tweeting in my planner.

Thanks and I’ll see you around!

    All the best,

    KMJ

    Keeping up?

Do you ever feel like you just can’t keep up with it all? I know I sure do. Like the fact that Thanksgiving is in 1 week away. Who the heck went and snuck that one in, in what feel to me is week early? Is it just me feeling this way? Oh my goodness! The stores are already filled with the 12 days of Christmas and I’ve barely taken down my decorations from The Halloween that Sandy forgot. It’s all a hot mish mash of a mess around here. I’m sure my kids will be home in two days to say, what have you been up to mom? And my answer will be just living with the day to day.

All that to say, in between the living with the day to day and to bringing this thing around to being a little bookish as I’m often to do, I have a question: Do you do Goodreads?

Goodreads is a fantastic site for readers and a great place to share books recommendations. I’m on there and have been since way before Through the Lens. I find it a great tool to keep up with what I’m reading and have read since honestly, I can’t remember what I had for dinner 2 nights ago. Go and check it out. I’m hosting my first Goodreads giveaway since Through the Lens is now out in paperback so please feel free to enter if you like. Just click on the link in my sidebar to your right >>>>>> and you’re there!

It’s a fun site and a great way to keep up. Now back to this Thanksgiving deal…Are you ready?

    All the best,

    KMJ

    Happy Mother’s Day!

What’s Jack up to? Today he’s doing neighborhood window watch from his couch perch. Daring anyone to walks by with deep growls and yappy barks. Not very sweet on Mothers Day, Jack. Be nice.

In honor of Mother’s Day I wanted to share these funny sentiments from someeecards. They just crack me up! And sometimes as a mother you just have to laugh so you don’t cry. It’s all worth it in the end. Love trumps all.

I wish all you moms a wonderful and peaceful Mother’s Day. If you’re not a mom, give your mom or someone who’s like a mom to you a shout and let them know how special they are to you.
Much love to Ma and Nana and all the mothers in my life!

    Best,
    Kwana

    Love?

What’s Jack up to? Ugh. Jack gave me the most awful and stinky Valentine’s Day gift ever which I stepped in TWICE! What’s up with that dude? I got you a nice chew toy.

    On a sweeter note:
Happy Valentine’s Day DH! You are the best and
    I Love You Forever.

    Peace Please

What’s Jack up to? Today he’s literally nipping a my heels to play. Ouch, Jack!
Today is a national holiday here is the US. It’s the day we celebrate the birthday of Dr. King. His peaceful non-violent approach to civil change is a lesson we all need to reflect on. Particularly during this election year. Please take a moment and think of how you can add more peace to your personal life and life beyond your four walls.
What’s my prayer for this year? It’s simple. Peace please.

    And to all…

    What’s Jack up to?
He’s literally pooped out after all the day’s fun. He got to take a few walks in his new plaid jacket, ran around like a wild one getting into all sorts of mess and got to eat from the table (which he never does) all thanks to a soft hearted visiting aunt.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
