Happy Fat Tuesday! Will you be doing anything to celebrate Mardi Gras today? How about giving anything up for Lent tomorrow? Have you thought of taking anything on instead, like a new healthy habit or a relaxing hobby that will add a little something to your life? I’m not sure what I will be doing yet but for today I plan on living it up!

Just a sayonara 2011.
I’m so grateful to all of you who have suck by me over here at ye old blog and thank you to those who now also visit me at my tumblr Becoming Tru Me. You old and new friends who stop by and comment really make my day.
When I started this blog 4 years ago it was to get my name out there and establish a following for when that big book deal rolls on in. Well, the big deal hasn’t rolled in but I have gained so much with the wonderful connections I have made with so many of you. I feel so blessed by your always encouraging words to keep going and hang in there. You will never know how much that means to me. It what keeps me coming back here even it’s just to post a picture, say hi I’m still here or to say what Jack is up to (probably no good LOL).
Thank you so much. When I’m not here and putting my butt in the chair hands on the keyboard to give writing another try it’s a wonderful feeling knowing I have the support of so many wonderful cyber friends at under my wings. I wish you all so much happiness in all you do in the New Year ahead. Know that I’m rooting for all of you too.With love,

Seriously? It’s today already!
It’s that time of year, just a little over a week before Christmas and the holiday Madness is in full swing. So much to do, so many to prepare for. Did you do this? Oh gosh, still have to get that. I wonder what is the last possible day to get those cards in the mail? And really? She an NOT be serious about putting THAT on her wish list. What are we the Rockefellers?!
Oh and is Aunt you know who coming? Because if she is than you may need to call the pharmacist for that special prescription. Sigh.
But don’t worry. It will all work out. Take a minute just for you and breath. In the end what will be, will be. Friends and family will gather for the day and hugs and smiles will be had. Food will be eaten. Laughs will be laughed and yeah even on a perfect day, Aunt you know who will be judging. So….

Knitting Spirit
I love these knitted ornaments found here. They really show the spirit of the holidays. Wish I had found them earlier. Oh well maybe a project for next year. I think they would make great gifts for someone very special.

Holiday Help
Happy Monday to you all. Hope you had a good weekend and are ready to tackle the week. The DH and I got to put up the tree and get the decorations on. It was not the same without the twins this year but at least we had the Jackster to keep us company. As soon as we started he got a spot right under the tree and could not be moved. He’s mesmerized be the lights. Cheers to my little holiday (non) helper. Now if only he knew how to untangle the lights or change a bulb.
