    So They Say…

    18

So they say that you are now an adult
Well tell it to these eyes that fill up with tears every time you say goodbye for they can only see the sweet babies God graced me with early that blessed morning.

And tell it to these hands that though they have aged over the years still know the feeling of holding you in my arms rocking, rocking.

And finally tell it to this heart that will forever have a place for you, shut off from the clanging world always chattering and squawking and saying, constantly saying.

Well let them say. For it will beat forever and say baby, my baby,  you are loved no matter what they say.

Happy Birthday my Dear Twins remember 18 is what they say but Love is what I feel.

    Love Forever,
    Mom

    Goodbye 2011

    Just a sayonara 2011.
I’m so grateful to all of you who have suck by me over here at ye old blog and thank you to those who now also visit me at my tumblr Becoming Tru Me. You old and new friends who stop by and comment really make my day.

When I started this blog 4 years ago it was to get my name out there and establish a following for when that big book deal rolls on in. Well, the big deal hasn’t rolled in but I have gained so much with the wonderful connections I have made with so many of you. I feel so blessed by your always encouraging words to keep going and hang in there. You will never know how much that means to me. It what keeps me coming back here even it’s just to post a picture, say hi I’m still here or to say what Jack is up to (probably no good LOL).
Thank you so much. When I’m not here and putting my butt in the chair hands on the keyboard to give writing another try it’s a wonderful feeling knowing I have the support of so many wonderful cyber friends at under my wings. I wish you all so much happiness in all you do in the New Year ahead. Know that I’m rooting for all of you too.

    With love,
    Kwana

    Final Knit Countdown

Yikes! Knitting today. That’s not the Yikes part of this post. The Yikes of it is the state of my DS’s hat. It’s a far cry from being done in time for Christmas. But with so much to get ready for the holiday where does one fine the time to sit and knit. Oh longing for the simpler times.

I hope you get a simple moment today.

    Raiders of the Lost Arts

Like my play on words there? Ok so it may not be the best but I thought it was cute. Know what I like even more. My finished needlepoint. It’s all done and hung and looking pretty in my bedroom. I’m giving myself a little pat in the back for this one. And so happy that the DS gave me a pat too saying mom it looks so cool and vintage. You could teach a class at my school. Maybe get a cut in my tuition. Hmm something to think about. Of course I’d have to move and get an apartment…. Hmmm…. something else to think about. LOL!

A big thank you to my friend Laura for her wonderful needlepoint lesson. I’m afraid I’m hooked.

Now back to my knitting I have a holiday hat to finish for the son which at this point may turn into a New Year’s hat.

Tell me are you a Raider of The Lost Arts?

    Best,

    Kwana
