Strip a What? Strip a Who?
Once again under the heading of: ‘Totally Educational’, whilst at Rom Con there was session called Strip a Hero and since I saw a bunch of other smart looking ladies flocking to it I thought I’d join in the stampede queue.
Historical authors Kimberly Killion, Jade Lee, Jennifer Ashley and Mary Wine hosted. They all wrote funny skits that were acted out by our heroes where they just so happened to end up disrobing a bit. Only a bit mind you. LOL.
So for today I give you Strip a Hero!
Happy Friday!

The Ladies Are Out In Style
To show you Rom Con wasn’t all about the beefcake here are pics from one of the highlights of the weekend.
Deeanne Gist’s Victorian Fashion Show with the fashions modeled by Your Favorite Historical Authors!
It was so much fun and so educational:
Mary Wine takes your breath away in a costume she made herself!
Delilah Marvelle beautiful in a skating costume
Jade Lee strutting her stuff
Beth Williamson lovely in her day dress
Jade and Delilah having fun in their swimming suits
In the end we got to see Deeanne get dressed from her chemise on up and here she is finally done in her gorgeous walking suit.
Trust me there will be no quick ravishing with trying to get under all those layers.

Kwana
It was all above board…
So I went to Denver to this thing called Rom Con. A a place for readers and lovers of romance to meet lots of their favorite authors to talk about books, and craft and characters, and ideas and inspiration and all that good stuff and, well this happened…
…
………..
………………..
Mangasm!
I swear there was tons of the cerebral talk too but… we’ll get have to all that later.
Happy Monday!

Summer Snow?
Well folks I’m leaving the NYC and am off to Colorado for a little summer snow.
Nah, not really turns out I won a cool contest and I’m off for some literary R & R at RomCon, a conference for fans of romance, which I so am.
So there you have it. A few days of much needed rest, relaxation and book talk. All my faves!
But just so I don’t get too relaxed I will take my laptop and ye old manuscript with me. Wouldn’t want it to miss me and all.
See you soon!
Best,
Kwana
P.S. Don’t forget Project Runway tonight #teamBert!

Before You Hit Send…
You’d better edit and edit again. I’ve just finished taking Carina Press executive editor, Angela James’ Before You Hit Send online editing class.
And let me tell you all, dang, the amount I thought I knew that I didn’t know could fill an entire class. I’m moaning, groaning, hanging my head in shame over here, but now picking it up and moving on, an old dog with brand new tricks.
This course was just the gentle kick in the pants this been writing in my own rut for years writer needed to jumpstart this next phase her career.
Angela presented the material in a clear concise way and then opened the forum up for questions that she came back to answer so you were not just left dangling in the wind. The course covered the basics of editing from your first changes to your final save.
All that was asked at the end was to fill out a survey and if we liked it to please recommend it to others. So here I am freely recommending! The next course will be offered in September. You can check out the details here and if you sign up please tell Angela hi from me!
Now excuse me while I get back to the grid.

Wouldn’t it…
Time to Make It Work
The fashionististas were back last night with the season premier of Project Runway! I have to say this TV-nistsa couldn’t be happier to see old friends Heidi, Tim, Michael and Nina. And what a refreshing change from my hot mess housewives. Could it be I’m getting a little burned out there?
That said she show started out with a bang with a narrowing down of 4 designers right out of the box. From the very beginning I was Team Bert! I can’t say Bert! Without the exclamation point for some reason he just does that to me. You can look at his home video here and see why. I just love a late bloomer. Go Bert!
I was sorry to see Rafael go he would have made fun TV and I really liked him but those pants? Ugh. So tell me who are you going for this early in the game.
Team Bert! Happy Friday.

Kwana
I’m Back Baby
Definitely not full power but with less than 1 month now before the dear twins head off to college I find I don’t have the luxury to wallow in my lost mojo do I’m declaring it BACK-ish.
Hope your day is MOJO filled.

I Lost My Mojo Baby!
Somewhere between Sunday and last night I must have come across Dr. Evil because it seems me and my Mojo have parted ways.
So now I’m on a mission… to get my mojo back.
Wish me luck!
