    Let It Be With You…

What a morning this is. I woke up and said to my husband, “Welcome to a changed world.”  Now we don’t know how much it has changed or how, but we can only hope and pray it’s for the better.

Last night I sent this tweet:

“Tonight I’ve gone back almost 10 years in an instant. Wish I could go back 11 to moment of Peace. 9/11 will never be forgotten.”

I know it’s naive, the going back part. We can never go back as we can never truly forget. So I’m going for PEACE.

    Royally Thankful

Thanks so much to all of you who hopped over to Heroes and Heartbreakers and read my “If Only For A Day”  post.

So today is the big day? Did you watch the royal wedding or did you sleep in? What did you think? Wasn’t Kate lovely? How about that dress? So very Grace Kelly. Commoner to Princess.

I’m wishing the couple all the happiness in the world. If the start is any indication it should be a wonderful marriage.

I sure wish I were over there to pick up a tea towel as a souvenir. That would be fun huh?

Now, I wanted to give you all an update on my freelance twitter and Facebook project. Knit Wednesday

I kinda wish with all the Royal Wedding hoopla my little group was knitting here just for this week. I know all the coverage is over the top and I’m getting pretty over it. But I will admit that come Friday I will be watching along with the rest of the world to seewhat Kate is wearing and I’ll probably get a little choked up when the couple take their vows. And I too will wish them well and a happy ending.

For more on the wedding check out my post up today over at Heroes and Heartbreakers.

Looking for a Cowboy- TBR Challenge

So this month I didn’t bail on Super Wendy’s TBR Challenge (although I still have to finish my book club book) and I hunkered down and yesterday got in my required TBR challenge reading. This month the suggested genre was western so I chose Westmoreland’s Way by Brenda Jackson.

Now this city girl thought it fit the bill. See there was a guy on the cover who looked like he was maybe going to the opera or something and had inconveniently forgotten his shirt (don’t you hate when that happens?) but thank goodness like a good cowboy he didn’t forget his Stetson. So I saw Stetson and thought Cowboy. Oops.

Well, as it turns out he was not quite a cowboy at all but a bit time billionaire real estate developer (hmm wonder if he’ll be running for president) from Denver who is a little bit country and looking to find out the mystery of his great-grandfather when he happens upon “The most beautiful woman he’s ever seen” who sadly is engaged to someone else. Bummer that.  But of course our studly billionaire would never let something like a woman being almost married stop him. Why because he’s a Westmoreland. You read the book you’ll here they are their own breed and that should explain enough.

There was nice chemistry between Pam and Dillon right from the start and it was made clear from the beginning that he was the man to root for and there was something fishy to that scoundrel of a fiancé of Pam’s.  I did notice that there was lots of foreshadowing of things to come in the story so you knew the road before making the turn but even with that it was still an entertaining read. And in true Desire form there were some steamy love scenes to keep the pages heated.

I say for a fun and quick read give it a go.

    Cake Mania!

    Happy Monday!

What’s Jack up to? Well Jack has been a bit on the wild side. Extra barky with anyone who passes and extra needy not wanting to let any one of us out of the house without voicing his displeasure. I don’t know if he’s gearing up to drive me bonkers when the dear twins go off to college.  Uh oh.

The DH had a low key birthday (he thanks you for the thoughtful wishes) after yet another college visit and then we came home to sing to him and share cake. But you would have thought we were singing to Jack and offering him cake the way he was jumping up and down, trying to get to the table. Check out the mania is these eyes.

I hope you have a great week and it’s a little calmer than Jack here.

    Best,

    Kwana
