What Cha Reading?

What’s Jack up to? Well with the big heatwave we’ve been having there’s been no dashing out the door for the Jackster lately. He’s no fool that dog. He’s staying where there’s air conditioning and doesn’t want me getting angry and locking him out, not that I’d do that. LOL.

So I have not asked this question in a moment. What cha reading? The last few books I’ve read were:

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo a book/knitting/moms night out club pick which 1/2 the club has read so far and  I really enjoyed but took me a while to get into but it won me over by the middle. Now I know with that review I’m not the norm. But I do want to read the next in the series. Lisbeth is such an interesting character.

Then there was Soulless and Then Changelessby Gail Carriger which my friend Kate from Babbling about Books turned me on to. I loved Soulless so much that I had to buy Changeless for my ereader the same day I finished it. I have to say though it could not beat Soulless but left me with enough of a cliffhanger that I am very much waiting for the 3rd book in the series. Carriger is such a wonderful writer.

Now tell me what are you reading? Who’s rocking your world right now?

Best,

Kwana

I just finished Heart of Fire by Kristen Painter. Great read! I downloaded The Fixer Upper by Mary Kay Andrews on my Kindle and plan to attack that this weekend. I’ve been wanting to read TGWTDT. Heard the movie was fabulous 🙂

Oh Kwana, I am still reading Mennonite in Little Black Dress by Rhoda Janzen. I will finish it, there is nothing wrong with the book, just S L O W Ina….

Catching up with your last few posts, I have the iPhone (not the newest) and LOVE LOVE LOVE it… my firm pays for it but even if they did not, I would pay for it myself. Cannot live without it.

I did catch the Batchlorette throwdown between Jake and Vienna. Both are losers in my opinion. I think that show is ridiculous. There is enough trouble in a real relationship without it being artifically inseminated by ABC. In my humble opinion. How many of those couples last anyway?

I was at the vet’s office yesterday and when checking out got to talking about HBO’s True Blood series with the ladies at the front desk. One of them had never seen it and has HBO! I could not believe it! She said her fave show is Big Brother, which is starting soon… I am looking forward to the upcoming throwdown on RHNJ!!! Theresa and Danielle…. they need to get rid of Danielle, she is out of control this season. xoxoxox

Kwana, can you believe I’m in the middle of a book and my Nook is frozen (again)! I’ve had issues with that thing from day 1. I love it, but the bugs are annoying. I want to get the iPad, but I feel it’s too “modern” for me. Plus, one of my kids might step on it or something. I’m in the middle of Brenda Jackson’s, Irresistible Forces. I”m trying to stay away from re-reading any of the Twilight Series books (I’m done with Bree Tanner). I want to do some serious reading, but my Nook has gotten so undependable, and I hate serious stuff while on vacation.

    Take care,

    M

Just finished reading “My Life Would Be Perfect If I Lived In That House.” Now I’m reading “The Right to Write.” I read “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” last year and loved it. On my nightstand at the moment is “The Guernsey Potato Peel Society” (I think that’s right) which I just cannot get into. Next on my list: “God In The Yard” and “Evolving in Monkey Town.”

I’ve been trying to finish The Help for eons. It’s not that it’s easy to put down, it’s just that I keep having other things come up in my life. I typically read YA so this has been a fun change. I still haven’t read the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but I want to.
