    Happy Holidays & It’s a BOUNCing Blogiversary!

This week marks my one year anniversary going indie and being self-published with BOUNCE And what a year it’s been. Filled with the highest highs, including BOUNCE winning the GOLDEN LEAF for Best Novel with Strong Romantic Elements from The New Jersey chapter of Romance Writers of America and me being honored with the Golden Apple Award from my New York City Chapter for Author of the Year 2014.

I don’t know if I’ll ever have another year quite like 2014 as it was also my lowest since as I write this I’m missing like crazy my Dear Nana. All I can say is I’m so grateful that she got to see these things accomplished in 2014.

But hold on now,it’s not just my one year self pubbed anniversary, I do like to do big things in December, this week also happens to mark my 7th Blog Anniversary!

Wow I cannot believe it’s been 7 Years!! Talk about flying by. I’m standing up and giving a cheer to all of you for sticking with me for so long.

    Freedom!

I don’t know why, but I’ve got George Michael on the brain today so thought I’d pass it on and share a little Freedom Flashback with you.

    I hope you enjoy.

Oh and I finally ordered new canvases from Easy Canvas Prints  with my new self pubbed Creative Hearts Covers and they came in so I updated my wall of Almost Famous (please excuse the glare). I hope your Wednesday has been wonderful!

    Nana knows best!

So this past holiday weekend we had Nana over and it was all pretty fantastic with us doing the usual … *Chilling on porch, eating lots of good food, playing cards and then eating some more. Like a knitting pattern cycle back to the * and repeat. At one point during our chill fest I put my sweet Nana on the spot and flipped the video camera on my cell phone and asked her to give 3 reasons why people should read BOUNCE this summer.

    The Sweetest Hangover…

Hello all! It’s been so long. I’m home from my back to back conferencing and have a huge conference hangover complete with laryngitis from all the talking at high volumes. But I had a fabulous time and now I’m happy to be back home and ready to focus once again on family and my writing. This week I plan on sharing lots of conference pics as soon as I’m coherent enough to put them into some order. But first I’m going to work on waking up and then it’s off to restock the fridge with my (Yay! She’s back home) DD. It’s so nice to have my family of 4 back to together again. I’m amazed at how French my daughter has become. She really did so well and I’ll forever be grateful to her wonderful host family in France who are now a part of our family too.

Ok I’m off for now… Leaving you with a pic of me my at my 1st RT Booklovers convention signing….

    Kwana RT signing

And a general recap from Bubba Gump on all I ate while in NOLA (winks to my friend who will totally get this joke). Seems I never met a po’ boy I didn’t like.

Bounce is in print! (and I get a bit embarrassing) …

Let’s all hold hands for this shall we?

It’s finally here! Bounce is available in print and I’m a little over the moon about it!

    Kwana Bounce 1

So much so that I’ve gone and made a totally embarrassing unboxing video to express my feelings (no one was home and I had a not so bright idea about documenting a moment). Um, yeah, there’s a reason that I don’t do public speaking and you’ll all get to see it now. But at the encouragement of my Dear Son who was either moved by my video or wants others to share in his mother’s silliness I’m going to take a leap and go ahead and share.

Hey, I may not be blessed with the gift of gab, but I am happy to finally have my 1st step into self-publishing now in print as well as digitally available to share with all of you.  Thanks so much to everyone who helped make this happen. I will forever be grateful. There are too many to mention, but I would like to give a heartfelt special thanks to the amazing Ms. Lauren Dane for her beautiful cover quote. I am so honored.  Also a special thank you to Irene and Julie for their wonderful quotes. You ladies are fabulous!

Thanks, Thanks and more THANKS! This has been quite the journey.

    Business Time

Happy Friday and Happy Weekend! Good for us making it through the week. Though you know me when I’m in deadline mode weekends mean nothing and it’s business time and not in the HA HA way, but in the get down to business and get these edits done way.

    .

That’s ok. The weekend are for everyone and business is what you make of it. Enjoy!

Friday Flashback- Na, na, naa, na-na-na!

Happy Friday! Wow has this week bounced by fast. I’ve been playing catch-up after being away at #RWA last week and think I will be for weeks to come. So much to do. In order to get the energy up over here at ye old blog how about a little Friday Flash Back? Jermaine Stewart anyone? I’ll never forget the day I ran into Jermaine down in the village. It was right after this song came out and I was in high school, and of course gushed like the high school girl I was. He was so sweet and kind and took my gushing with such grace. He is still missed today. Enjoy. And dance with me!

    All the best,
